  • Ranawara is situated on Sri Lanka's southern coast, 15km south of Tangalle. The full address is No 98 Tillawatawana Watte, Kahandamodara Road, Ranna, Sri Lanka.

  • Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo is approximately three hours by road. We are happy to arrange airport transfers — please let us know in advance. If you prefer to arrange your own transport, please note that we are unable to accommodate drivers on the property, but can arrange nearby accommodation for them.

  • Galle is approximately one and a half hours by road. We can arrange transfers and are happy to organise drivers and guides for day trips.

  • Yes. Ranawara is available exclusively to one party at a time. The entire villa, grounds, pool and staff are yours for the duration of your stay.

  • Up to 14 guests across five suites in the main villa and two garden cabanas. Additional bedding can be arranged for young children and infants on request.

  • Absolutely. Children of all ages are welcome at Ranawara. Please let us know at the time of booking so we can make appropriate preparations.

  • Yes. Ranawara has a resident team of 18, including a General Manager, two private chefs, housekeeping and service attendants, and 24-hour security. A trained lifeguard is always on duty when the pool is in use.

  • Air conditioning is available in all bedrooms, the library and the cinema room. Natural ventilation throughout the open-sided living spaces means the villa stays cool and comfortable year-round.

  • Meals are not included in the nightly rate and are charged as a supplement. Full board is available at $70 per adult per day and $35 per child per day (under 12). Children under 5 eat complimentary.

  • Yes. Our chefs are experienced in preparing vegetarian, vegan and other dietary requirements. Please let us know at the time of booking.

  • Ranawara is available from $1,500 per night. Rates vary by season — please enquire for a tailored quotation.

  • Yes. A minimum of three nights applies year-round, with a seven-night minimum during peak season (16th December to 10th January).
