Dining

At Ranawara, dining is not a service. It is an experience shaped entirely around you.

Your private chef sources the finest local ingredients daily – arriving back from the market by tuk-tuk each morning loaded with the day's catch, tropical fruit and garden-fresh produce. Every meal is prepared exclusively for your party, served wherever and whenever you choose.

The Market Run

Most mornings our chefs Chamara and Rohan head to the local market in Tangalle – a ritual as much as a necessity. What comes back shapes the day's menu. Sri Lankan spices, freshly caught fish from the southern coast, vegetables grown within miles. The cooking is informed by the best of what's available, not the other way around, with menus tailored to you and your party.

Breakfast on the terrace. Lunch by the pool. A long dinner under the stars with the purr of the Indian Ocean beyond the treeline. Wherever you choose to dine, the setting is yours alone.

Private cooking lessons with your chef are available on request – including a visit to the local market to source your ingredients.
